I eat popcorn despite the hulls and despite the fact that I'm allergic to corn!Dmariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14689601569495984413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700826032924534249.post-50565837846694168652010-12-12T16:37:12.202-06:002010-12-12T16:37:12.202-06:00dmarie, I bought a microwave popper long ago. A bowl with a lid with slits cut with a knife would probably work just fine.

I bought Orville Redenbacher's Air Popper popcorn. I figured the finest would work the best.

I never used any oil. Plus, there is never any butter or salt on my popcorn, my taste prefence. The second and third microwave poppers were bought at yard sales or thrift stores, bought for friends.

Sadly, I never eat popcorn because the kernels make me crazy. Some day, I will do a short blog about popcorn so I can put the picture up where folk can see the microwave popper and find it at a yard sale.Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700826032924534249.post-25772452931278524352010-12-12T15:59:42.319-06:002010-12-12T15:59:42.319-06:00I'm in good company I see! now I will think of...I'm in good company I see! now I will think of Lea and Sarina when I make popcorn!Dmariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14689601569495984413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700826032924534249.post-44111897615531627672010-12-12T12:44:45.940-06:002010-12-12T12:44:45.940-06:00My kids love the stove top kind so we also stopped...My kids love the stove top kind so we also stopped buying the microwave ones.Lea Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08115298071761933905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700826032924534249.post-25079568841184706702010-12-12T12:07:52.974-06:002010-12-12T12:07:52.974-06:00wow, the microwavable stuff is pervasive here, and...wow, the microwavable stuff is pervasive here, and I bet lots of folks have never even made the stove-top kind. Agree completely about how much cheaper it is. I always used to cover the skillet with oil though, and now only one teaspoon of oil will save me even more money.Dmariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14689601569495984413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700826032924534249.post-18818123452674787622010-12-12T11:51:18.281-06:002010-12-12T11:51:18.281-06:00I never even heard of microwave popcorn, here in t...I never even heard of microwave popcorn, here in the UK. I always made stove top popcorn for my kids when they were small. So much cheaper and much more healthy than shop bought. A large bag of popping corn used to last us for months.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09114653674812242486noreply@blogger.com
