Made waffles yesterday...as part of my goal to not waste the zest of the oranges we just bought from a high school band's fundraiser. The zest of only one orange makes an enormously tasty addition to a waffle recipe. Froze the leftovers to pop into the toaster oven whenever a hot breakfast is the ticket. Though my recipe is from a Good Housekeeping cookbook from the '80's, just found a recipe for a make-ahead pancake/waffle mix on the Good Housekeeping site, which might make the whole process even quicker. MUCH cheaper and easier and yummier than buying store-bought frozen waffles!
Hope you had something good for breakfast today?!

No, I have not had anything. I was starving before I saw those waffles! Now, it is torture. Keep some warm until I can get there!
YUM! Orange zest in waffles sounds divine. I bet one of those toasted on a cold day would just be perfect. I haven't made waffles in forever! I may have to dust off the waffle iron :-)
I haven't made waffles for ages but I'm seriously having cravings after seeing yours.
Since I had cereal for breakfast this morn, there are just enough waffles left for you three!! oops, sounds like Hubby just went out to the freezer...looks like he'll be having your waffles. ;)
I love that you save the zest! I started doing that, too. I lay it out to dry and then add it to my little jar. Mostly I buy lemons, but it's the same concept.
Also, your waffles look amazing!
