This moment: Bird on the wing and another thing

Love how the bird feeder seems to be looking at the bird!
Gotta love the long exposure that allows us to capture things like birds in flight!
Hubby recently tiled our bathroom floor; yesterday he replaced the shoe mold trim, and he repainted the room today.
Guess what? I didn't even know he was going to repaint it... Just found him in there repainting it the same color. He said if I'd wanted a different color, I should have let him know. *chuckle*
Good thing I still like the color: Chinese Red by Sherwin Williams.
This bathroom is my one bold stroke in this house! I did sprinkle little dashes of red throughout to unify the whole, but most of the other walls are fairly neutral.
Well, except for our master bath with its blue walls & lighter blue ceiling.
Dunno why tiny rooms give me permission to ply the more daring colors. Maybe it's my fear that I'll grow bored with the bolder colors, so I limit them to the tiny rooms that can quickly be repainted.
What about you...are you WILD or MILD with your paint choices? Hope your weekend is wild or mild--as you wish!!

Thanks to Soulemama for this Friday photo sharing concept. Feel free to leave a link to your moment!

I paint bedroom walls pale, restful colors. The rest of the house is white.I just love the light. I need the light! A few years ago, I had to replace the living room ceiling. This is a room that is not used much because it is not heated or cooled due to the cost. Well, I decided to go dark and bold--Sherwin Williams Boticelli Red. It is much like the color in your picture. The only reason I could do this is because of the white double mantle firplace, white French doors, three other white doors, 10" baseboards, and 10" crown molding. The color and the abundant white was dramatic!

It was the hit of my Christmas party that year. I decorated exclusively with magnolia, nandina with its red berries, and white candles in glass candleholders.

Boticelli Red on walls, not ceilings!

Sounds fantastic. Small rooms are just perfect for really intense colour which would overwhelm you in a larger area. & how lovely that your husband does something witho0ut asking, I cant imagine what that is like!

I love the colour on the walls! I'd have to say that I am very subdued when it comes to colour on the walls and opt for more neutral tones as our windows are tinted and it makes the rooms a little dim. However, the towels in my bathroom seem to be the same colour that you have painted on the walls. I would like to be a bit more adventurous with colour next time we need to paint.

@Practical, your room sounds fabulous, and bet it's especially so at Christmas time.
@Lizzie, tho' retired, my hubby is the workaholic around here. I am the slacker!
@Linn, red towels sound exotic to me!
@Michelle, thanks for the kudos. Enjoyed your blog too!

I'm too mild, and I wish I could be wild in my paint choices. When I try to be daring, I end up with a color I don't like. That is why our entry way is a flesh color. What was I thinking?! Every time this happens, I'm ready to go back to white or bone.
Sigh.

I am always tickled when I get birds on the wing photos myself. Yours is a neat one.

Birds in flight photos are wonderful, thanks for sharing yours - it's great. A moment captured beautifully.
I think it'd be nice to have a bold colour in the house. We keep to fairly soft pastels, however, I like the idea of splashing out in the bathroom - so to speak :D)

I am pondering over colours for our snug - been preparing it for a while now - plasterer coming on Friday so should be next week sometime.
I once saw a house all neutral - with a splash of red in each room - really looked awesome!

Nice to meet you (via Kath)
